Friday Favorites

1) Did I ever tell you guys that my genius husband was invited to the Pharmacy interview? Well he was and interviews next Friday. ALL. DAY.

2) I was also invited to the Dental Hygiene interview next Saturday.

3) Realizing that my next week from junk is next week and not this week.

4) Buying some super cute fabric for some baby shower gifts.

5) We filed our taxes this week. I can hardly wait for March 7th.

6) I did not have English class all week because we had the time off to talk with our professor about the 1600 word paper we wrote due Monday. I better start that....

7) My political science professor pushing our test and paper back by like a week and a half. I also better get started on that paper. Yikes.

Until next time!

Skewl

Did I ever mention just how much I don't enjoy school?
Maybe it's not that I don't like it, but just the fact that I am pretty burnt out
on the whole school thing. I mean this is supposed to be
my last semester, but I still have FOUR more left.
Anyway. Enough of that rant.
Today was the first day of classes. They weren't that awful.
I was just exhausted. Normally I go to bed at 11 at the latest.
But since I was on break for the last three weeks,
my sleeping pattern got all out of whack.
Today I had an 8am class. Which isn't that awful. But I didn't fall asleep until about 12:30 and woke up at 6:45. So that made for a pretty tired Jenn.
I was only supposed to have three classes today and be done at noon.
But when I came home at noon, I checked my English class out
and realized the school changed the professor for the time that I
signed up for.
I looked up the new professor on rate my professors and she had horrible reviews. So then I had to quickly find a new professor.
Turns out the time the new professor had available was 1pm.
I gobbled down some lunch and went back to class. YAY.
Good news is, that on Tuesday and Thursday I only have one class. And while it is a three hour lab, it won't be that bad.
Especially considering the fact that my lab on Thursday only meets every other week. Hallelujah!

Until next time!

School

Today is finally Friday. Even though we had a short week, it went by kind of slow. Sam and I have been in school for three weeks now. On one hand it doesn't seem like that long, but when I think about what has happened in each week, it feels like it has been forever. Surprisingly so, school has not been that busy at all. We find ourselves quite bored at times. It is really strange. We come home and do what ever assignment that we may have and then that's the end of it. And the assignments that we do have are not the most time consuming things. A lot of time we come home with nothing to do because we finished it on campus. I generally come home and play on the computer and feel bad because I think that I am procrastinating something, but then I think about it and I have NOTHING to do. When we moved into our apartment, we decided not to get cable or anything like it. So it has been quite interesting to see how we will spend our time. We do not have a large movie collection, probably like twenty movies total, so we have watched them all numerous times now. We also have netflix, but we only get one movie out at a time and the online streaming movies aren't the greatest. So suffice it to say, we get pretty bored around here. We have purchased a lot of books lately. But of the five books that we bought for me in the past month, I only have two left to read. ISU offers a lot of things to do on campus for free which is really cool. But the first week or so of school I was sick and now Sam has the same thing, so we haven't really partaken of any of it. They have a movie theater free to students. It is essentially like the dollar theater, or it plays similar movies to the dollar theater. They have a huge rock climbing wall that is free. A swimming pool, which is kind of small, at least compared to BYU. They do have a massive fitness center. Hopefully we will both be healthy at the same time and be able to do some of these things. Over Labor Day weekend, we headed up to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. It was a fun thing to experience with Sam. However, compared to the New York State Fair, it was really small and didn't have a whole lot to do. The main reason we wanted to go was for the food. But it was pretty hot out so we hardly ate anything. My favorite thing was the petting zoo. A local pet shop provided a bunch of different animals and they even had puppies for sale. There was one that I was literally dying to have, but we needed to discuss it with our landlord first. And she is the hardest person to get a hold of. So by the time we finally got a hold of her on Tuesday, that puppy was already sold. But our landlord told us she would consider allowing us to have a dog. We find out next week. I would be the happiest person ever if we got to have a dog. Well I guess I should end this before it becomes a novel. Until next time!

I love block classes

This semester I am taking 13 credits. And four of them were a block class. It was a math class, that was pretty easy. It just hardly finished, and I took my final last Wednesday. I got an A on the final and an A in the class, which I am pretty stoked about. I was planning on trying to take the next level of math that I need, during the second block. But the class was full and I didn't think I was going to get in. I sat in on the first class and it seemed fine, but in the end I decided that I should just take it next semester. It won't really matter whether I got in this semester or next. I will probably do better because I will be taking it for a whole semester, instead of just a block. Block classes only work for certain classes. But I still really liked that I got to take my first math class as a block. Now I only have 9 credits left for the semester. I feel like I am never in class. This is mainly because 2 out of my 3 classes only meet once a week. And the other one only meets twice a week Most three credit classes meet 3 times a week for 50 minutes. But my classes meet once a week for 2 and a half hours. And my other class meets twice a week for 1 hour and 15 minutes. So now I don't have any class on Mondays. And on Wednesday, my first class isn't until 6:30 at night. Crazy. Sam is pretty jealous of my schedule. I think next semester will be a little bit busier. I am hoping to take a few classes online and only have to go to campus for two classes. But I don't get to register until November 1, so I will have to wait and see what my semester will really look like after I register. Let's pray that the registering God's are with me and I get the classes that I want.

Until next time!
