Did I ever tell you

That the week after school got out in May, we went to Las Vegas?
Well we did.
And Sam was sick.
And kind of sort of miserable.
But we still had fun.
We only ventured to the strip one time.
And only for maybe two hours.
We stayed at our hotel and watched movies, ate food, and gambled a little.
Sam's sister, Christina, came for one night, so we got to see her and her family for a minute.
We stayed at the South Pointe and loved it. It is cheap, but actually really nice.

This a cherry turnover I got for breakfast once. It was HUGE.

Drinking our virgin strawberry daiquiri. Delicious!

The pictures that I took, makes it look like we only wore one shirt.
But we were there for three nights and four days, so we wore other clothes.
I guess I just didn't take any pictures of them.

There is a restaurant inside here. Neat!

Until next time!

Bowling

The first time I spent any real time with Sam's family was Thanksgiving 2009 and we went bowling. And I mean bowling.
As in we bowled like 8 games in two days. Back then, that was a
whole heck of a lot of games.
The tip of my middle finger literally went numb. For like a month.
But now a days I am well trained and can easily bowl four games.
My last game might be awful.
And I might literally be chucking my ball down the lane.
But at least I still have feeling in my fingers.
Over break we went bowling a few times.
And I FINALLY got some photos.
(I always feel weird taking pictures in front of Sam's parents)
Well here they are!

They are pretty much all of Sam. Because he doesn't know how to take pictures. I told him that if people looked at our pictures some time, they wouldn't even know I existed. Pathetic.
So I told him his New Year's goal is to be better at documenting our life.
We will see how well he does.

Until next time!

Looky What I found!

A bunch of random pictures from my phone that I found when I uploaded the pictures from yesterday.
Enjoy!

A massive folding chair that we found at Sam's Club in Provo. Taken Fall 2010

This is the family "cabin" farm in Driggs, Idaho. Taken December 2010

Utah State Fair. Taken Fall 2010

A random picture of us at our old apartment in Provo, Utah
Taken sometime in 2010 : )

Right after I chopped my hair real short. The dumbest thing I ever did, by the way. Taken March 2011, Provo, Utah.

These were on the Snake River by the Idaho Falls Temple. We took these right before I went to NY. Taken July 2011, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

My hair is slightly longer. Just a random picture from school.
Taken Fall 2011, Pocatello, Idaho.

School

Today is finally Friday. Even though we had a short week, it went by kind of slow. Sam and I have been in school for three weeks now. On one hand it doesn't seem like that long, but when I think about what has happened in each week, it feels like it has been forever. Surprisingly so, school has not been that busy at all. We find ourselves quite bored at times. It is really strange. We come home and do what ever assignment that we may have and then that's the end of it. And the assignments that we do have are not the most time consuming things. A lot of time we come home with nothing to do because we finished it on campus. I generally come home and play on the computer and feel bad because I think that I am procrastinating something, but then I think about it and I have NOTHING to do. When we moved into our apartment, we decided not to get cable or anything like it. So it has been quite interesting to see how we will spend our time. We do not have a large movie collection, probably like twenty movies total, so we have watched them all numerous times now. We also have netflix, but we only get one movie out at a time and the online streaming movies aren't the greatest. So suffice it to say, we get pretty bored around here. We have purchased a lot of books lately. But of the five books that we bought for me in the past month, I only have two left to read. ISU offers a lot of things to do on campus for free which is really cool. But the first week or so of school I was sick and now Sam has the same thing, so we haven't really partaken of any of it. They have a movie theater free to students. It is essentially like the dollar theater, or it plays similar movies to the dollar theater. They have a huge rock climbing wall that is free. A swimming pool, which is kind of small, at least compared to BYU. They do have a massive fitness center. Hopefully we will both be healthy at the same time and be able to do some of these things. Over Labor Day weekend, we headed up to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. It was a fun thing to experience with Sam. However, compared to the New York State Fair, it was really small and didn't have a whole lot to do. The main reason we wanted to go was for the food. But it was pretty hot out so we hardly ate anything. My favorite thing was the petting zoo. A local pet shop provided a bunch of different animals and they even had puppies for sale. There was one that I was literally dying to have, but we needed to discuss it with our landlord first. And she is the hardest person to get a hold of. So by the time we finally got a hold of her on Tuesday, that puppy was already sold. But our landlord told us she would consider allowing us to have a dog. We find out next week. I would be the happiest person ever if we got to have a dog. Well I guess I should end this before it becomes a novel. Until next time!

To Transfer....

Or to not transfer is the question that Sam and I have been plagued with this semester. Sam made the decision this semester that this would be the last semester of studying mechanical engineering. Instead he has made the decision to study pharmacy. I am pretty excited about this because that means we could live pretty much wherever we wanted after he graduated from school. But it also means that he has a lot longer in school left than we originally thought. Right after high school he left for his mission, so he is only in his third semester. He was just about to apply to the ME program after the semester, but not anymore. He hasn't really taken any classes that help him get into pharmacy school. So we are looking at about three more semester of prerequisites, and then once he is accepted, pharmacy school is four years. They certainly make you do a lot of work for that Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. So since Sam has changed his major, we had to start thinking about where he would want to go to school. his first choice is Idaho State University. That works out well for me because they also have a dental hygiene program. We applied for the Fall semester of 2011 and still need to send transcripts and such. We are pretty sure that we will get in to the school but we each have a few more classes to take before we can apply to our perspective programs. Why transfer in the fall you ask? Well because if Sam gets most of his prerequisites from there it looks better, and they give priority to Idaho residents. Also I should be able to apply to the Dental Hygiene program in December 2011 for the Fall 2012 semester. So I would need to be there already and all that jazz. Ah the joys of being a college student. I can hardly wait to be done with it all. However it is looking like I have three years left at least. Flip, flip, flip that is forever. But I will have a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from ISU, most other schools only give you an Associates Degree. So there is a plus side of it all.

Until next time!

Update

Part of me feels like a lot has happened since I last blogged for real and the other paet of me thinks we haven't done too much. It has been really nice since my block class ended because I have had a lot of time to just get caught up on things. Since I last blogged Sam and I have already gone through two more rounds of midterms, as in half of our classes had them one week and the res had their midterms the next week. Sam definitely had way more tests than I did. But now we are done with them and only have finals left. I can't believe how fast this semester went. It's crazy to think that we only have like two and a half weeks left of classes.

We registered for classes next semester and I am pretty pumped for it.

I am taking:
Public Speaking
Nutrition
College Algebra
Yoga
Ethics and Values
and Intro to Theater

It's a total of 17 credits, but 9 of them are online, so I think I should be fine. I am taking Public Speaking (haha), Nutrition and Intro to Theater online. I have heard that they are all pretty easy online. So for next semester I will have one class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 3, and then on Tuesday and Thursday I will have two classes at 12 and then at 6. I wish the class was at 6 was earlier but the class that starts at 4 filled up so I had to take what I could get.

Unfortunately Sam's schedule is a bit more difficult than mine. He is taking 15 credits, which include the second semester of general chemistry, physiology, a chemistry lab, public speaking, pd bio and another class that I can't remember. This semester his earliest classes are at 9 and 10, so on Tuesday and Thursday he gets to sleep in with me, but next semester his classes start at 8 and 9, so I am a little sad that I know longer get him in the morning as long as I do.

Until next time!

My bad.

I have been super slacking on the whole blogging thing. It's not even that I don't have enough time to do it, because I do. It's just that I find other things to do and because I feel like I am so far behind that it is a little daunting to update it. But I shall be better about this and make myself do it. I do like it. I also wish that I was more creative, I see other peoples blogs and I have no idea how they make it look like that. But I guess it is a learning process. So check back later for some updates. I will post a few so its not one HUGE post.

Until next time!
